Swedish Medical Center, a leader in healthcare excellence and a part of HealthONE, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Main Operating Room on a PRN (pro re nata - as needed) basis. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of patient care in surgical settings, offering a dynamic work environment with cutting-edge medical practices. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art operating room setting, ensuring optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients before, during, and after surgery. Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room. Monitor patient vital signs during surgery and provide appropriate interventions. Administer medications and document all patient interactions. Provide patient and family education regarding pre and post-surgery care. Strong clinical skills in a surgical environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure setting Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment. BLS Certification required. ACLS Certification preferred. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is desirable.
