registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years MS Oncology RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
for a registered nurse experienced in medical-surgical oncology
within a specialized blood cancer unit. This contract position
offers a chance to contribute to compassionate care for oncology
patients in a highly regarded 18-bed unit. Location The unit is
situated in a metropolitan area known for its vibrant culture and
outdoor activities, providing a great work-life balance in a city
with a diverse community and accessibility to hiking, skiing, and a
lively arts scene. Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care to
oncology patients on a 7P to 7A shift Assist with procedures such
as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis
Administer medications, blood transfusions, and electrolyte
replacements following established protocols Collaborate with a
dedicated team of RNs and a charge nurse to maintain patient ratios
of 3-4:1 Uphold safety guidelines when handling hazardous drugs and
patient excreta Participate in maintaining unit standards that have
earned recognition for quality and evidence-based practice
Qualifications / Desired Experience Current RN licensure with
oncology nursing experience Compassionate approach toward chronic
and acute hematology patients Quick learner adaptable to a dynamic
clinical environment Preferred: Chemo and biotherapy certification
and step-down unit experience Comfortable working with meditech EMR
and managing complex nursing interventions Unit Highlights This

multiple times, demonstrating excellence in patient care, nurse
certification, low turnover, and teamwork. The team values primary
nursing with fewer CNAs to ensure hands-on nursing interventions.

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.59 to $50.00.
