As a technologist, you are asked tooperateMRI scanners and to
ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information
for the health care professional to makean accuratediagnosis.
Utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining
theprocedureand placing the patient in theappropriate spoton the
table.Technologists are also organized, detail-oriented people who
are familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the
patient’s history.A few responsibilities of our MRITechnologist
include: You will position and prepare patients for exams according
to the type of procedure to be performed You will be performing
procedures and assessing patients throughout and responding to the
patient’s needs as appropriate You will complete appropriate
documentation for each study performed You will use professional
discernment and critical thinking when performing procedures You
will participate in orientation and training of new staff members
and teach students during their clinical rotations You will
maintain thorough knowledge of scanners and exam protocols in order
to ensure the highest quality procedures What qualifications you
will need: - Currently registered as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR
registry) - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course,
as specified in policy - Current registry by the American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists - Graduate of an accredited school of
Radiologic Technology - One year of experience in an MRI Imaging
Department preferred - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained
within 30 days of employment start date - Certificate - High School
Graduate / GED - (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R)
Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists No
