Job Description:
The Associate Proposal Manager is a full-time position
responsible for a portfolio of development projects including
school management proposals; government grants;grant reports and
budgets; and strategic initiatives. Who We Are Entrepreneurial
Ventures in Education is a non-profit organization working to
improve the educational performance and life opportunities of
children who live in underserved communities. Our flagship program,
Phalen Leadership Academies, is a school turnaround operator that
works to transform underperforming schools into high-quality
schools that children need and deserve. We are currently serving
10,000 scholars at 26 schools across the country. Our vision is to
expand our impact to 20,000 scholars in three years and are growing
our National Development & Strategy team to meet our growing needs.
Who You Are3-5 years of relevant writing or development experience,
including but not limited to grant-writing, professional writing,
project management and/or development experience in the education
nonprofit sector.Bachelor's degree required.Exceptional writing,
research, project management and organizational skills.Ability to
manage multiple projects and deadlines.Previous successful teaching
experience and/or professional experience within K-12 public
education preferred. What You'll Do Develop high-caliber proposals
that position the organization effectively for securing management
contracts; charter start-up and renewal; and growth funding.Write
applications for competitive government grant opportunities and
compelling proposals in response to school management
opportunities.Manage federal grants for a portfolio of partner
schools, including applications, budgeting, and reporting to
boards. Develop project plans and track completion against key
deliverables, as well as centralized plans and replicable
processes.Prepare research briefs to support network growth.
Potential topics include state harbormasters, growth funding
prospects, comparable districts, and more.Manage key relationships
with State Departments of Education to ensure strong
collaboration.Role DetailsPLA's development team is completely
remote but based on the West Coast. Because of that, candidates are
required to live in the PST, MST or CST time zone. This role is
full time, with benefits.
