City). About the RoleThe newly created role of Senior Director,
Program Management will report to the VP of Portfolio and Program
Management (PPM). Within the Operations team there are four groups:
Integrated Supply Chain & Manufacturing Services, Data Services &
Cloud Hosting, Customer Success and Portfolio & Program Management
(PPM). This role will lead the group of project manager of
approximately 10 people responsible for project management within
our R&D delivery groups (hardware/firmware, cloud, data
science, and systems).First and foremost, this is a people leader
role. The incumbent will establish a strong team and processes to
manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget
while meeting and exceeding project management standards. The team
of project managers will be aligned to R&D delivery groups and
will work with the program directors to deliver programs aligned to
business strategies and objectives, projects are within budget, and
that they meet quality standards and the needs of our customers.The
ideal candidate for this position demonstrates leadership that is
earned and is not attained via position power. The ability to drive
change in culture and behaviors is a key attribute of the
successful candidate. In order to succeed, the leader must have
superior intellect and must demonstrate outstanding work ethic, be
capable of understanding and articulating complex scientific,

Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and lead a high-performance team of -10
project managers
- Develop and grow talent setting a high bar and enabling the
team to succeed
- Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated
project resources to gain alignment on project goals and
deliverables
- Define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions
necessary to structure a project or activity
- Develop and drive project plans, aligning program tactics with
project strategy
- Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget
while meeting and exceeding project management standards
- Develop and document high-level strategies for accomplishing
specific project objectives
- Facilitate and lead effective project meetings, manage change
and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage
project workload and productivity
- Communicates program analytics, status, plans and strategies to
executive management
Requirements:
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Engineering or a
technical/scientific field)
- Master's degree preferred
- 12+ years' experience in Medical Device Program Management
- Solid knowledge of medical device regulations including 21 CFR
820 and ISO 13485. Knowledge of Design Controls, Design Transfer,
CAPA, etc.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar
certification is strongly recommended
- Experience using and implementing Lean and Six Sigma tools and
methodologies
- Strategic planning and business development experience
- Ability to learn all functions of the business and build
bridges between functions to further the overall goals of the
organization - must be a collaborator and communicator
- Accepts responsibility and accountability for project success
and associated key decisions
- Continuous improvement mindset and a result and quality driven
approach
- Advanced analytical skills: demonstrated ability to
troubleshoot complex process/system issues
- Strong communication skills: ability to prioritize and manage
multiple simultaneous programs/projects
- Can clearly explain and celebrate the values that will ensure
long-term success
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability including
experience leading and building a team
- Healthcare experience and medical device experience

- $210,000 total compensation (based on experience and location)
