Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred. License:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is
required. Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association,
ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service. Must-Have: - ADN
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. -
Health assessment skills. - Documentation skills. - Delegation and
supervision abilities. - Health teaching and counseling skills. -
Therapy and treatment planning experience. Description: The
Registered Nurse performs independent nursing functions and
delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice
standards. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates
nursing care. They evaluate health status through the ongoing
collection and assessment of health data. They perform health
teaching and health counseling for patients. Therapies and
treatments that are supportive and restorative to life and
well-being are provided directly to the patient or indirectly
through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching others.
The nurse executes delegated medical functions and refers patients
as needed for further evaluation or treatment. They review and
monitor therapy and treatment plans and document in accordance with
hospital and regulatory guidelines. The nurse utilizes resources as
needed and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the
organization while abiding by service behavior standards. Other
duties may be assigned as necessary. The nurse may be required to
float to other departments based on business needs and may be
required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. 5
