Job Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Container Maintenance Mechanic to join our team, focusing on maintaining and repairing containers used in environmental services. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all containers are in optimal condition, upholding our commitment to safety, sustainability, and environmental protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a keen attention to detail, adept in ensuring all equipment meets the rigorous standards required for hazardous waste management and environmental services. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on containers to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to keep equipment in operational status. Work closely with operations staff to schedule maintenance and minimize service disruption. Document maintenance and repair activities in compliance with company policies and regulations. Ensure all containers are compliant with environmental laws and regulations. Provide recommendations for improving equipment efficiency and reducing potential downtime. Strong mechanical and technical skills. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. Strong problem-solving abilities. Good communication and documentation skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Mechanical Maintenance (preferred). Valid driver’s license. OSHA Safety training certification (is a plus).
