is seeking a highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial Supply Sales
Representative to take full ownership of our sales function. As the
sole sales professional in the organization, this is not a
plug-and-play role; it is a unique opportunity to build, lead, and
drive business development from the ground up within a rapidly
growing construction supply firm. This position is ideal for a
confident, driven individual who thrives in autonomy, excels in
field sales, and has the ability to establish and nurture vendor
and customer relationships. You’ll play a hands-on role in
generating revenue, expanding market share, and collaborating with
procurement and operations to deliver outstanding value to our
clients. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Sales Ownership •
Independently develop and execute a territory sales strategy
focused on new business generation and customer retention. •
Identify and pursue leads through job site visits, industry
networking, project databases, and direct outreach. • Prepare
customized proposals, close sales, and follow through with
operational and delivery coordination. • Be accountable for your
pipeline, revenue goals, and margin targets, with full visibility
and freedom to shape your results. Client Relationship Development
• Act as the face of Select Building Supply to general contractors,
subcontractors, builders, and developers. • Provide material
recommendations, pricing solutions, and value engineering insights
to construction professionals. • Develop long-term, trust-based
client relationships through consistent follow-up, proactive
communication, and on-site support. Vendor & Procurement
Collaboration • Work closely with internal procurement and
ownership to align sales opportunities with vendor capabilities and
cost structures. • Maintain and grow vendor relationships that
support timely delivery, material availability, and competitive
pricing. • Leverage vendor strengths to secure bids, meet project
requirements, and close complex or high-volume deals. Market
Development & Operational Awareness • Stay informed about
construction activity in your region, including bid opportunities,
active sites, and emerging players. • Use your working knowledge of
construction processes and material categories to advise clients
and spot growth opportunities. • Collaborate internally to shape
product offerings, forecast demand, and improve the customer
experience. What Makes This Role Unique • You're the First and

Selling a Commodity Alone – You’re representing a growing,
service-first supply company focused on relationships and
reliability in a tight market. Qualifications • Required: o 3–5
years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction
materials, distribution, or building products. o Strong knowledge
of construction supply chain, jobsite logistics, and material
requirements (framing, finish, specialty products, etc.). o
Entrepreneurial mindset, must be a self-starter comfortable working
without daily direction or a preset playbook. o Strong
organizational skills and accountability in CRM or pipeline
tracking tools. o Valid driver’s license and reliable
transportation for frequent field visits. • Preferred: o Book of
contacts in the construction industry or vendor community. o
Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP platforms, or estimating
