- Hotel and Restaurant Discounts Position Summary The Associate
Director of Sales is a key member of the Sales team. This position
will assist the General Manager with Group Sales, Catering and
Negotiated Corporate Accounts. This position has the responsibility
to achieve occupancy and rate goals to maximize revenue growth
while meeting or exceeding hotel profit objectives. This individual
will oversee hotel Sales Managers and Catering Managers, including
coaching and training. Essential Functions of the Job: Proactively
conduct outside sales calls and entertain clients. Develop and
maintain market understanding to ensure ability to predict revenue
opportunities and set appropriate strategies. Monitor production of
all top accounts and evaluate trends within the market. Comply with
achieving individual goals along with team goals and budget
metrics. Training of all team members and operations staff as
needed on how to recognize and close sales opportunities to
increase hotel occupancy and revenue. Oversee Catering and Event
Management teams to ensure Private Dining, Catering and Meeting
room rental budgets are met or exceeded. Compile and/or direct the
preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales
Department to include, but not limited to forecasting, budgeting,
lead management and group pace reports, Maintain a strong
visibility in the local community and industry organizations.
Conduct site tours of property. Act as Manager on Duty as needed.
Attend daily and internal meetings as deemed necessary. Maintain
relationships with Visit Denver and group lead platforms,
understanding how each platform works and generate ideas on where
to improve the hotels visibility. Flexible schedule as needed to
assist with Group events Travel as needed to attend trade shows,
community events and industry meetings Act as directed on behalf of
the General Manager or Director of Revenue, Sales and Marketing in
their absence; performing any other duties as requested. Education,
Experience, Skills: 4 years minimum progressive hotel sales
experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1
year of related experience. Computer skills preferred, Opera,
Ideas, Outlook, Microsoft programs Highly developed verbal &
written communication skills to frequently negotiate, sell and
influence other team members, hotel guests and corporate clients.
