Outside Salesperson - Fireplaces and Outdoor Living Products As part of the Sales Team, you will be responsible for growing your book of business and soliciting all opportunities to offer our fireplace and outdoor living products and services to General Contractors, Home Builders, Remodelers Consumers, Architects and Interior Designers while articulating the Rio Grande Co. values to these current and potential clients. You may have already established clients provided to you, and the Salesperson will be responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with these current customers. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment other high caliber Sales Representatives.Job Responsibilities Responsibly for the marketing and sale of fireplaces and outdoor living products to new and existing customers in the Denver Metro and extended market (No overnight travel required) Responsible for building relationships with new and existing customers Responsible for meeting with the client at the project site to create an installation plan and insure all building codes and manufacturer requirements will be met. Conduct sales and contract negotiations with local, regional and national home builders to obtain the appropriate market price for both the company and the customer Establish new sales accounts through cold calling and personal visits to potential customer offices and job sites Educate customers on fireplaces and outdoor living products through verbal and written communication Network with other industry professionals Attend Rio Grande Co. customer events Produce fireplaces takeoffs specifically related to venting and termination in residential, commercial and multi-family construction. Work with the fireplace operations team to insure all customer expectations are met Attend monthly sales meetings as well as manufacturer training sessions Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations; and comply with government safety requirements and policies Perform other duties as assignedQualifications 2-4 years of selling and application experience in fireplaces, outdoor living products and/or building materials Ability to demonstrate successful sales techniques with new and existing customers Knowledge in fireplaces, outdoor living products, and new construction estimation process Strong planning, problem solving and negotiation skills Ability to effectively manage customer expectations in and out of standard core business hours Excellent interpersonal skills Proficient in Word and Excel Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Is Preferred Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Ability to read blueprintsSafety Assessment/Typical Working ConditionsThe work environment is primarily indoors in nature and exposes the employee to man-made light and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee will be exposed to outside elements at times such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, light snow, and dust.Compensation will range from $65,000 to $150,000 comprised of base, car allowance, bonus and unlimited commissions.Benefits: Rio Grande Co.
