Job Description:

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Golden is now hiring for a Front Desk Agent.**This position is responsible for performing a variety of guest service activities in an exceptionally friendly, professional and efficient manner. Registers guests, assigns rooms, takes reservations, answers phones, settles guest accounts and coordinates with other departments to satisfy guest requests.-- Welcomes all guests in an outstandingly friendly, professional, efficient manner-- Whenever possible assigns rooms which satisfy all special requests-- Obtains necessary credit and payment information from guests-- Coordinates with other departments to satisfy guest requests-- Provides detailed information about Hotel facilities and operating hours-- Notifies Housekeeping of all special requests, late checkouts, and room changes-- Posts charges as need to guest account-- Adheres completely to all IHG standards-- Sells rooms in accordance to sales strategies-- Receives and transmits guest messages and packages-- Performs check-out and cash handling activities in accordance with all Hotel cashiering and credit policies-- Issues and provides access and close out for guest safe deposit boxes-- Answers telephone calls and guest inquiries in a friendly, professional manner-- Reads Group Profiles and Meeting Room information on a daily basis-- Maintains cleanliness of equipment in work areas at all times-- Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times-- Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance-- Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees-- Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards-- Complies with required safety regulations and procedures-- Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules-- Remains current with hotel information and changes-- Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards-- Attendance in conformance with standards-- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel-- Required to attend all training sessions and meetings-- Complete any reasonable task assigned by management-- All other duties as assigned Individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodationRequired:-- Excellent communication skills both oral and written-- Outstanding guest service skills-- Ability to stand for an eight hour shift-- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include, mornings, nights, weekends and holidaysPreferred:-- Previous IHG or hotel experience preferred but not required-- General knowledge of Hotel departments-- Hotel Front Desk: 1 yearJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hourEducation:
