Job Description:
DDC FPO is looking for a successful, experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our North America Sales team. The primary focus of the role is to work with the sales team to develop and deliver a healthy lead generation program, driving qualified leads into the sales pipeline. There will be opportunity to learn to deliver these opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure. As the first line of communication with prospects, the SDR must have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at researching leads, start new relationships, and set our sales team up for success. Every potential client is an opportunity for the SDR to boost top-line revenue growth, client acquisition levels, and profitability.

Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, an excellent communicator, can work well within a cooperative and friendly team as well as being able to work on their own initiatives. The successful candidate must firstly be able to show a proven track record of increasing sales opportunities and meeting or exceeding personal targets. In addition, the candidate must show they have the initiative to impact positive change to add value to our business.

Job Requirements:
This position will be based in a virtual office environment and managed by the Vice President of Sales. There is significant opportunity for career progression at DDC FPO.

Your Primary Duties Will Include:
The SDR will:

  • Generate and qualify leads and build relationships by nurturing and converting cold leads into warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
  • Assess and analyze a prospects current process and requirements
  • Identify best practices to refine the DDC FPO s lead generation playbook
  • Maintain organized sales records and report month-end goal setting to the senior management team
  • Arrange for creation and distribution of presentations and supporting documents to help sales team convert business leads
  • Attend essential sales training meetings and develop an understanding of all DDC FPO's services and products
  • Collaborate with senior sales staff in weekly meetings by creating and maintaining month-end salesl reports
  • Monitor our CRM (HubSpot) performance and engagement across our sales and client management teams
  • Work with our Business Systems and Marketing teams on CRM alignment projects
  • Focus on sales process improvement and be responsible for lead management through other technology tools
  • Work with various departments to ensure processes align to overall company goals
  • Prioritize and work independently and respond to requests in a timely manner

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
    • Utilize HubSpot, Lead Forensics, LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting
    • Cold call, email, and message prospects to generate new sales opportunities
    • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
    • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

      The Ideal Candidate for this Position Has or Is:
      • Bachelor s degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
      • 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets
      • Experience in transportation, preferably 3PL
      • Knowledge of the BPO and/or transportation industries is a plus
      • Strong organizational skills and communication skills via phone and email
      • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
      • Experience of B-to-B sales, preferably in LTL, 3PL, IT, or BPO sectors, and has the ability to develop a good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
      • Proficient in building sales pipelines using CRM systems, preferably Hubspot CRM
      • Experience working collaboratively with sales and marketing teams
      • Ability to evidence a track record of increasing sales revenue by hitting or exceeding personal targets
      • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
      • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite of services, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
      • Experience with Power BI and Asana a plus
      • Proficient in the use of social media tools like LinkedIn, Twitter, and familiar with SEO optimization

        • Work closely within a small sales & marketing team and develop cooperative working relationships with all company colleagues
        • Provides accurate and timely information as required to managers, the client success team, and senior management
