Senior Analyst, National Compliance Program This position supports the Managers of Compliance Audit and Monitoring and assists in maintaining an effective compliance program for DaVita Medical Group (DMG). DMG Compliance is looking for a candidate who is an independent, creative thinker and has excellent analytical, research, writing, and project management skills. The Compliance Senior Analyst will apply previously acquired analytical, auditing, and communication skills to identify and quantify risks associated with company practices, procedures and policies. The position supports the day-to-day functions of the Compliance team through risk identification, data analysis, process improvement, auditing, and report development. The Senior Compliance Analyst will be expected to: - Define and understand problems, collect and analyze data, perform research, identify root causes and evaluate alternatives to make timely and appropriate decisions in an effort to mitigate risks associated with Federal & region-specific laws, regulations, & guidance including (but not limited to) False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, CMS regulations, etc. - Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on data, and build presentations to communicate the results of analyses to various levels of leadership. - Conduct multiple projects concurrently while managing timelines with leadership. Assist Compliance Managers in projects related to the Compliance Audit & Monitoring Program. - Conduct audits (develop work-plans, perform audit work steps, document and report findings, develop and implement appropriate remediation). - Perform assessments of policies, processes, systems, and issues. - Communicate findings of complex analyses to leadership in concise manner to facilitate decision making - Draft oral and written presentations to upper management for decision making purposes - Perform and lead a variety of recurring and non-recurring processes and projects related to Compliance initiatives. - Support process improvement efforts by constantly identifying and acting on ways to make processes more streamlined and efficient, including developing business cases for recommendations. - Establish effective relationships within Compliance and across multi-functional groups Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; - Minimum 3 years of experience in business setting. - Advanced computer skills - Proficiency in MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook required - Intermediate skills in Excel required (navigate and manipulate large data tables, pivot functionality, graphs & charts, lookup & mathematical formulas, etc.) - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail. - Strong problem solving and project management skills. - Ability to prioritize and organize work for self and others to deliver on commitments and achieve results. - Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. - Audit/Consulting Firm experience preferred. - Familiarity with healthcare, revenue cycle, or coding compliance requirements or auditing preferred. - Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries dealing with federal healthcare program laws including, but not limited to Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and Civil Monetary Penalty Law and CMS regulations a plus. - Experience with clinical and/or billing systems and data is a plus. - CHC, RHIA, CPC, CISA, CIA, CPA, or other relevant certification preferred. - Flexibility to take on other duties as needed. Education/Training Bachelors degree or directly related work experience required (associates degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelors degree) (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Four (4) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelors degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Offsetting experience must be in the field of healthcare compliance, healthcare privacy & information security, internal audit or consulting. Experience At least three (3) years of full-time experience in legal, compliance, consulting or auditing fields. A bachelors degree in a relevant field or professional certification (CHC, CIA, CPA, CPC, CISA or RN) may substitute for two years of required experience. Sound critical thinking skills as it related to data analysis and compliance processes. Must possess highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
