Assistant Materials Coordinator
TEMP TO HIRE
20.00 per hour
Completes activities associated with receiving, shipping,
purchasing and inventory control including but not limited to
releasing incoming materials, Packaging product for shipping,
verifying approved vendors for purchases and assisting in
maintaining a perpetual inventory. Issues inventory controlled
packaging including labels to support production schedules. Assists
in manufacturing area.
1. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices including housekeeping,
documentation, training, and gowning. Insure that warehouse area is
neat, clean and orderly. Insure housekeeping documents are properly
and timely completed.
2. Adhere to all safety procedures. Most significantly for this
area is proper lifting technique. Other key safety precautions
include the wearing of proper personal protective gear when
receiving specific materials, understanding and following the
guidelines for chemical hygiene and exposure control, and executing
duties in a safe manner.
3. Read, understand, and adhere to controlled documents necessary
to perform duties, such as SOPs, receiving specification sheets,
equipment specifications, and batch records.
4. Properly maintain computer and required programs. This includes
proper password management.
5. Insure proper receipt of raw materials, packaging materials, OM
materials, labeling, lab supplies and equipment. This includes
separating the different types of receipt, recording date of
receipt, matching packing slip to purchase order, providing timely
document to accounting, recording receipt with proper CofA where
applicable, quarantining materials until QA release, and storing or
directing to proper recipient.
6. Ship product and other materials in an accurate and efficient
manner. Insure all procedures are met for standard domestic and
international shipping as well as shipments requiring dry ice.
Understand and complete shipments by all applicable carriers. Can
interface with ERP to evaluate and print out orders, determine
priorities, ship and properly record in system.
7. Maintain final product refrigerator. This includes clear product
and lot separation, quarantined items, sequestered product and
material to be destroyed. Identify all materials with status and
key information where applicable.
8. Understand training requirements for position, complete
specified training, and keep training documentation up to date.
9. Coordinate with Customer Service to anticipate upcoming orders,
address customer orders that are not included in the ERP system,
and to clarify exceptions.
10. Provide accurate counts during inventory and insure
organization to aid in counting.
11. Write and or update relevant GMP Documentation.
12. Conduct Training for other employees on areas to which you are
qualified and insure full documentation of training steps
demonstrated by trainee.
13. Perform complete and accurate verification checks and insure
that qualified individuals verify your tasks were necessary.
14. Maintain inventory logs for manufacturing and packaging
materials. Maintain receipt log accurately with current

supervisor including assisting in Manufacturing as time allows.
Minimum Position requirements:
Some experience in a shipping and manufacturing environment. Must
be able to work independently.
