Job SummarySite Supervisors act as the representative for the District during athletic events. Site Supervisors are ultimately responsible for the staff, the participants, the field and the equipment.Job RequirementsMust be at least 15 years old. Sport specific knowledge, rules or certifications are mandatory for some sports and recommended for others. Previous site supervisor experience helpful but not required. Experience working with children helpful but not required. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of sports and how the game is played. Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques used in recreational sporting events. Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public and to handle stressful situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, various community organizations, and the general public. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally; establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public; work independently or with another official on assigned games; able to effectively communicate and enforce league rules; effectively demonstrate and promote enthusiasm and sportsmanship in the sport.Additional InformationWork Hours: This is a variable hour position.
