IT Senior Asset Management Analyst Overview: Add responsibilities for this role Service Now Required asset and license management, 1. Formulate, implement and conduct processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of the organization's endpoint hardware and software assets from requisition through retirement. 2. Lead the gathering and monitoring of software counts/subscriptions, understand software usage rights, monitor and track usage and propose different alternatives for licensing optimization and cost reduction. 3. Partner with IT and Business teammates to ensure compliance, challenge business justification, raise awareness, provide reports and dashboards, perform training and execute requests. 4. Develop, maintain and perform continuous process improvements for licensing usage, driving efficiency and cost savings. 5. Partner with Vendor associates to manage inventory and standards, execute within service agreements, better understand licensing programs, coordinate renewals and true-ups, confirm compliance, produce and review metrics and establish/maintain processes. 6. Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for inventory management, software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings. 7. Manage various software titles to assist with procurement, coordinate seat allocation, facilitate maintenance and support renewals, assist with version upgrades and maintain title-specific license compliance. Work with IT Procurement department and Desktop Support teams on software license agreements and true-up of various license packages as well as hardware refresh and deployment activities. 8. Facilitate needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/approved/ordered in advance of their expiration. 9. Support internal/external software licensing audits to determine effective license position on various licensed software titles. 10. Communicate with management and business partners on various licensing options for various endpoint software applications. 11. Assist in coordination of hardware reconciliation and disposal process with Desktop Support teams for asset ownership & lifecycle data integrity, license harvesting and compliance accuracy. 12. Coordinate with Endpoint Management group in order to inventory and/or track devices and maintain the LANDesk database containing hardware and software assets. 13. Analyze, scrub and import purchase records and other entitlement & asset information using spreadsheet, database and analytics tools. Analyze software license purchase and software discovery data and perform reconciliation and remediation tasks to ensure data accuracy and quality. 14. Assist in development/establishment/authoring/communication of Endpoint IT Asset Management policies, guidelines, standards and procedures, ensuring alignment with IT Security and overall strategy. Implement & support established policies and procedures. 15. Operate within ServiceNow for end user hardware/software requests and asset lifecycle state or ownership changes. Operate within LANDesk to establish and maintain data analytics tasks contributing to the maintenance of the lifecycles of software and hardware assets. 16. Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, senior management, support practitioners, and vendors. 17. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
