Precision Contractors is based in Englewood, Colorado, and has been a nationally recognized Commercial General Contractor since 2005. Our projects are located around the USA and include new construction, conversions, tenant renovation, and remodels for retail, restaurant, healthcare, office, and industrial clients. We are looking for a team-oriented and experienced superintendent who has experience in ground-up commercial construction. Many of our positions allow employees to live outside Colorado and travel to each job site location. Relocation assistance may be considered for candidates outside of Colorado. Our project superintendents are "working" supers who are often on the road and can self-perform certain portions of the project scope while managing daily activities. Responsibilities Project Kickoff Run construction kickoff meeting with all assigned project staff Manage opening and closing procedures for job site Pickup permits and coordinate all required inspections Overseeing day-to-day (and week-to-week) operations of a project(s) Overseeing safety on each job site Plan and communicate daily, weekly activities with onsite personnel and client representatives Supervise the workflow on the job site to meet project expectations Oversee subcontractors and ensure they complete projects and scope according to their contracts Always maintain and enforce a safe working environment which includes cleaning and organizing job sites daily Take weekly pictures using company approved process to document progress Work with client and vendors as directed by office personnel Hands-on as needed with carpentry work Inventorying materials delivered to site Overseeing questions and answers on project Tracking of time for subcontractors that are on a time and material budget Implementation of effective time management principles Ability to read and implement construction documents, drawings, and specifications Verify all layouts and dimensions before and after construction against drawings Work with and communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and owners Interpret and manage a variety of instructions and owner concepts furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Communication with assigned Project Manager Update the build team in weekly status meetings Assist Project Manager with building and maintaining of schedule Ensure project schedules are being met and delivery to the client is on time Report any job site conditions that may be preventing plans from being fully implemented Report any subcontractor work that is not complying with the plans, quality, or contractual scope of work Assist with securing and acquiring subcontractors and materials as requested by the office. As required, this role will work the days and hours necessary to complete a project with quality work, on time, and within budget Processing requests for change orders for any potential work outside of the defined project documents Ensure all current copies of project documents are printed onsite and shared with subcontractors Responsible for ensuring all punch items or deficiencies are addressed and corrected Our superintendents are self-motivated, punctual, and accountable Other duties as assigned Qualifications Computer skill set to assist PM with schedule, budget & inventory tracking Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook Ability to travel to job sites (by air & by car) A valid and current drivers' license is required for this job Self-starter with good analysis & problem-solving skills Ability to think in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet Effective verbal and written communication skills Bilingual is a plus Ability to pass drug and criminal background check Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent on ground-up construction projects 4 - 6 years as a construction job site foreman or lead carpenter Background in carpentry framing, minor drywall, trim carpentry is a plus Background in scheduling and project management is a plus Working experience with Microsoft Office Experience with traveling for business and working remotely Education High School Graduation or GED, or construction trade certified with five years of experience in commercial construction Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
