role, the individual will focus on maintaining excellence in all
project tasks and efficiently convey project goals to team leads,
project supervisors, and sector heads. The individual will actively
search for and secure project bids while deeply understanding
design parameters. Critical thinking is essential, as the role
involves pinpointing challenges early, managing them, and upholding
quality standards. This role also oversees the performance of
subcontractors, oversees project budgets, amendments, financial
codes, financial reporting, and purchase requests, all while
grasping the project design comprehensively.Key Performance
Indicators:Safety:
- Implement and communicate top-tier safety practices.
- Supervise site safety, ensuring adherence to established safety
protocols.
- Champion safety training initiatives.
- Promote and celebrate good safety habits.
- Ensure timely completion of all safety documentation, including
JSAs.Quality:
- Maintain a meticulous approach, prioritize tasks, and ensure
high-quality outcomes.
- Vigorously drive high-quality project results.
- Complete Bid Day summaries on time and ensure accurate data on
the same.
- Understand project blueprints and documentation
comprehensively.
- Engage in proactive problem-solving during the bidding
phase.
- Showcase expertise in construction techniques and
strategies.
- Recognize project advantages and potential risks.
- Navigate various project delivery methods including
design-build, CM-GMP, and more.
- Convey quality objectives to the project team.
- Coordinate with the quality manager for quality assurance of
all performed work.
- Document lessons from each project and celebrate
achievements.Profitability:
- Accurately estimate costs for various project components.
- Gather multiple subcontractor quotes for non-self-performed
tasks.
- Participate in subcontractor networking events to ensure
competitive bidding.
- Ensure accurate project surveys and pricing, especially for bid
days.
- Negotiate effectively with clients beyond mere price
adjustments.
- Support the team in finalizing key subcontractors.
- Understand wage components and develop pricing based on
productivity.Schedule:
- Design preliminary timelines for accurate project pricing.
- Collaborate with Operations to get insights into job duration
and pricing.
- Coordinate with the Estimating Manager to ensure smooth bid
processes.
- Regularly update and maintain a comprehensive project
timeline.Customer Satisfaction:
- Nurture positive relationships with both internal teams and
external clients.
- Address project challenges and issues promptly.
- Serve as the primary bridge between the company and external
stakeholders.

Prerequisites: Skills and Proficiencies:
- Exemplary leadership with a focus on team development.

- Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid, B2W software, and MS Project
or similar tools.
- Over a decade of experience in overseeing prime DOT and city
contracts with a mix of self-performed and subcontracted
tasks.
- Preference for those with an understanding of asphalt quality
metrics. Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction
