This position will be required to conduct quality control tests within the precision standards established by ASTM and AASHTO. The position will be required to report results upward and seek assistance to analyze data. Conducts in depth problem solving, detailed data and trend analysis, and troubleshooting associated with aggregate material performance. This position also assists the Material Performance Manager of the product line in the implementation of best practices and techniques, in regards to product quality and quality initiatives.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:What you'll be doing:Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments andCollect samples and perform accurate quality control testing to ensure quality concreteMix and test concrete mixes, report results and work with concrete salesProvide verbal and/or written test results to QC Manager, operations and sales staff in timelyWork with internal and external customers to help resolvePerform field QC in addition to labOther duties asRelationships with other jobs:Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Plant SupervisorWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:We're looking for:Education: Associate/Technical DegreeWork Experience:2-3 years experience in Quality.CDOT QC/QA CertificationsUnderstanding of NYSDOT specifications and test procedures for aggregates and asphalt.Complete understanding of AASHTO/ASTM specifications and test procedure for concrete, aggregates and asphalt.Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends to meet customer needs.Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. over uneven ground for a distance of 300 ft.
