HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

Contract or Contract to Hire Enterprise Architect leads the program to develop, maintain and Govern enterprise architecture (EA) across the organization. Provides technical direction regarding architecture, tools and approaches. Identifies and designs appropriate technical solutions to enterprise architecture issues. Provides leadership to analysts, data modelers, technical developers and EA contractors in the design and implementation of tightly integrated, efficient, cost-effective, scalable solutions. Assures technical quality assurance. Responsible for defining the EA process and architecture review process (The Architecture Review Board or ARB), and leading the integration of those processes with related business and IT processes.

  • Responsible for defining the EA process and architecture review process (The Architecture Review Board or ARB), and leading the integration of those processes with related business and IT processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • -Leads the creation or evolution of the enterprise architecture function/program.
  • -Understands, advocates for and supports the enterprise's IT strategies ensuring that IT strategies map to and are relevant to overall corporate mission and strategies. -
  • -Leads the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context.
  • -Leads analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement. -
  • Leads analysis of the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.
  • Promotes the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders.
  • -Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide EA decision making. -
  • Leads the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.
  • -Ensures that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA compliance.
  • -Oversees EA implementation and ongoing refinement activities, including the evaluation and selection of EA standards.
  • -Consults with project teams to fit projects to enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture to accommodate project needs.
  • -Consults with infrastructure development project teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs.
  • -Identifies organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the enterprise architecture.
  • -Oversees the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work.
  • -Leads the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the enterprise architecture.
  • -Assesses and communicates the value of the enterprise architecture.
  • -Owns the support and management of the BiZZdesign Enterprise Architecture Tool.
  • -Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
    • Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations) in a multi-tier environment or five (5) years of experience in business analysis or business strategic planning.



      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


      • TOGAF 9 Certification preferred.
      • ITIL Certification preferred.
      • Expert knowledge of holistic enterprise architecture, business reengineering principles and processes, and information management best practices.
      • Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories.
      • Experience in business analysis and strategic planning, with the proven ability to translate business needs into EA requirements and apply multiple solutions to business problems.
      • Proven ability to balance the long- and short-term implications of decisions, and demonstrated effectiveness in driving toward short and long-term goals and strategies.
      • Ability to estimate the financial impact of EA alternatives and experience with financial models and budgeting.
      • Ability to craft strategic roadmaps taking broad technology concepts and applying them to business strategy and requirements over a 3-5 year time horizon.
      • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments, and a proven unbiased approach to the assessment of technology, vendor and product offerings and options.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, teams, staff and internal customers across the bank.
      • Strong business acumen and leadership skills, with the ability to provide high-level guidance, expertise and consultation.
      • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the proven ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners, and influence key decisions.
