Title: Construction AccountantReports To: Construction ControllerReports Required: Job cost reports, monthly bank draw package, commitment reports, COI compliance reports.Summary:A fast-growing development and construction company is seeking an energetic, creative individual with strong work ethic and attention to detail to join our team. The ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks is a necessity. This position is a full-time position that will manage and perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks and other support assistance as directed. Candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years office, accounting and bookkeeping experience preferably in the construction industry. This is a challenging position that involves a variety of responsibilities and requires strong organizational and management skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to maintain accounting functionality/organized system.Maintain and Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable per project on a daily basisCollection, Analyze, Organize, and Prepare of monthly draw submission to bank by closely working with our Project Executives and Project Managers on current projects for submission to ArchitectData Entry of all Accounts Payable per project assignmentCredit application manage for files per projectReview accuracy of subcontractor and vendor billings and all appropriate paperwork (lien waivers, certification, etc)Maintained signed Change Orders and Sub signed Change Orders for System and billingAssist in maintaining COI's from subcontractorsAssist with expense recording, job cost tracking and data entryAssist with project work including proofreading, copying and binding presentations/client deliverablesPrepare and coordinate presentations and briefing material, of a highly confidential nature, for use at senior level management meetings to ensure accurate and comprehensible presentationsDraft, edit and distribute correspondenceAssist managers or other staff with their daily functions to ensure department goals are achieved and staff is notified of important informationPerform a variety of complex and specialized administrative and office support functions to ensure the daily operations of the office run efficiently and professionally.Assist other managers with questions and serve as key contact to ensure all requests are responded to in a timely manner pertaining to your projects.Desired Skills and Experience:Focus on Construction and Development Industry Standard Cost Codes/Job Costing is a mustSage, Timberline, Procore and Timber Scan software experience REQUIREDA minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an Accounting BookkeeperBachelor's Degree or higher with an Accounting focusKnowledge of accounting within the Industry in Federal, State and Local MunicipalitiesAccounting experience within our industry preferredAbility to manage time effectively and provide innovation when neededWillingness to understand corporate and industry practices and standards, processes and activitiesProficiency in job costing based on construction industry standard cost codes is requiredAbility to setup AIA formatted pay applications within the accounting systemStrong analytical mind who knows how to resolve problems and work well with vendorsAttention to detail/accuracy, quick learner and internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information and convey concepts, ideas and information to all levels of employees and external customersAbility to set priorities, organize work and work in high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlinesTeam player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environmentMicrosoft Office, Project and Blue Beam knowledgeCreativity, flexibility and innovation a mustOccasionally travel may be requiredPrerequisites:Must be consistently detail oriented.Strong organization skills.Ability to recognize personal shortcomings.Excellent written and verbal skills.Ability to listen and understand intents and goals.Ability to think creatively and innovatively.Professional judgment and discretion that comes from experience in working with customer services, internal teams, and 3rd party consultants.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.Pre-Prerequisites (these are the most important items):Positive attitude.Highly Organized and Efficient multi-tasked.Relentless problem-solving skills.Will never claim the work of other's as their own.We are trend setters and standards breakers.
