Job Description:
Kilpatrick Townsend, a large international law firm, is seeking
a Patent Analyst for our Intellectual Property Department in our
Denver office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys,
paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to
both internal and external clients. At Kilpatrick Townsend, we are

commitment to the community.Under the general supervision of
department supervisor, Patent Analyst works as part of a team to
provide patent prosecution services to clients. Principal
responsibilities are to provide task project support to attorneys,
paralegals, and other team members.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs
patent prosecution tasks including but not limited to:
- Client (internal) counseling for reference management
procedures and client reporting
- Prepare Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) for submission
to USPTO and other patent offices
- Liaise with vendor to coordinate reference management and IDS
support
- Reference management within firm software (marking, tracking,
and auditing references)
- Memorialize and track IDS projects
- Filing documents for submission to the USPTOAssist in preparing
and filing of formalities-related documents for submission to the
USPTO and Foreign Associates with tasks including but not limited
to:
- Preparing Declarations, Powers of Attorney, Assignments,
additional ownership documents, and change requests; recording
ownership documents with the USPTO and other foreign offices
- Facilitating client signatures, including preparation of
documents using secure software
- Memorialize and track formalities projectsInteracts with client
software systems, to include client reporting, document uploads,
and data management.Performs post-grant tasks including but not
limited to patent proofreading and reporting letters patents to
client.Works on various other projects as needed both
administrative and legal. -KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
self-starter.
- Minimum of one year experience in a professional client service
oriented environment.
- Honesty, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to multitask
effectively.
- Strong orientation toward detail; strong editing and
proofreading abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under
pressure.
- Cooperative and flexible team-orientated attitude.
- Availability for after hours and weekend work, as needed.
- Highly Proficient in MS Office Suite (word, excel, etc.)
- High School Diploma
- Two year degree (preferred)
- US patent prosecution knowledge or other areas of law
(preferred)This is a full-time, regular position with a
multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental and

off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work
days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position
in Colorado only is $29.18 - $36.56 per hour.Interested applicants
