Steamboat is looking for a lift mechanic with a solid mechanical and electrical aptitude to join our team. Our resort operates multiple lifts and are currently installing our second gondola! Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Duties and responsibilities split between field and shop environment Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly winter operational inspections of assigned lift equipment according to prescribed inspection guidelines including C.P.T.S.B. and ANSI code Works with master and apprentice mechanics to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the tramway Perform daily basic and intermediate preventative maintenance as well as unscheduled maintenance activities to the area's tramway systems Must be able to work nights and weekends May work on lifts and/or gondola Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job: 2 years lift maintenance experience or 3 years industrial maintenance experience SNT-TC-1A NDT I certification High school diploma required Must have a solid mechanical/electrical aptitude Must be able to interact positively with co-workers Must be able to operate a snowmobile Must have current driver's license and satisfactory driving record to meet company insurability standards Working knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment Ability to adhere to all safety policies Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lbs at various heights and/or uneven terrain Must be able to walk on uneven terrain Must be able to tolerate extreme weather conditions (snow, cold, wind etc.) Must be able to read and write in the English language Must be able to work in extreme heights, climbing towers etc. Miscellaneous information: This is an hourly paid position and is subject to overtime pay All Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation employees are required to follow adapting COVID policies and guidelines. The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
