Position Summary: Under medical direction the position provides for
the implementation and coordination of Pulmonary Physiology Lab
procedures based upon the Policies and Practices of the Pulmonary
Physiology and Neurodiagnostic Labs. The Pulmonary Technician will
be responsible for special procedures, within his/her scope of
practice, maintaining and improving clinical competence, practicing
universal precautions, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and
performing any other duties deemed necessary by the shift
supervisor. Also provides consultation, collaboration, and
education to the medical staff, nursing, multi-disciplinary care
team members, and patients/families. If you find this opportunity

Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: NBRC Certification,
Registry eligible, or NBRCRegistration, or R.EEGT, C-CCPT, CPFT,
RCPT, RPFTCurrent Basic Life Support Certificationthrough American
Heart Association or American Red CrossAdvanced Cardiac Life
Support through AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross
preferredPediatric Advanced Life Support throughAmerican Heart
Association or American Red Cross preferred B. Education: Graduate
of AMA accredited RespiratoryTherapist program, or equivalent
associate degree C. Experience: 6 months previous experience D.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have effective verbal and
writtencommunication in order to communicate in a clear, concise
manner with Staff, employees, patients, public andphysicians.
Knowledge of respiratoryprinciples and procedures and pulmonary
physiology and neurodiagnostic testing.Implements and coordinates
diagnostic care to patients based on physician'sorders for
pulmonary physiology and neurodiagnostic tests and assesses
theappropriateness of the testing for the patient.
Degree of Supervision Required: Minimalsupervision: Individual
proceeds under medical direction on his/her owninitiative in
compliance with policies, procedures, and practices prescribed
bythe Pulmonary Physiology and Neurodiagnostic departments.
