Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Distribution Center Lead. DESCRIPTION:The Distribution Center Lead (DCL) reports to the Distribution Center Manager and is responsible for managing the warehouse associates, managing the warehouse activities such as receiving, putaway, picking and other standard warehouse tasks, and the proper stewardship of all warehouse equipment.The WHL works hard to coordinate and plan the activities of the warehouse associates and work cooperatively with the Inside Sales Representative and Drivers for the benefit of the customers. The WHL maintains primary responsibility for the organization of the warehouse and the overall accuracy of the inventory stored.The WHL will work with Sales and Operations managers to help determine the stocking plan and manage the flow of product into and out of the warehouse. The WHL will lead key daily activities including but not limited to cycle counted, bin consolidation, and moving inventory to fit the stock by velocity plan of the warehouse. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the loading of product on to the delivery vehicle and the verification of the product load before departing the warehouse.
  • Plans for and oversees the receiving and unloading product from suppliers and inter-DC transfers.
  • Manages the effective and efficient put-away inventory into bins based on the stock by velocity plan.
  • Consolidates inventory is consolidated effectively and that bins hold mixed items in order to make efficient use of floor space.
  • Plans and manages the daily cycle counting activities by reviewing cycle count sheets prior to submitting them to the DCM and inventory control.
  • Is responsible for the preventative maintenance and overall good/safe operation of all warehouse equipment.
  • Helps deliver warehouse safety programs for all warehouse associates and maintain complete and accurate training records.
  • Learns duties of the DCM and serve as the backup during lunch breaks and other instances where the DCM is out of the office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities as business conditions demand.
  • Follows company rules and safety procedures and maintains a high level of productivity.
  • In absence of Distribution Center Manager, this role is responsible for the facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRE QUAILIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
    • High School Diploma/GED or the equivalent experience
    • 2+ years' experience working in warehouse operations.
    • Familiarity with NetSuite, preferred.
    • Forklift (to be certified).
    • Possess a valid Class C driver's license / clean driving record.
    • Can operate a vehicle under our insurance.
    • Excellent customer service track record.
    • MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.COMPETENCIES:
