Full Stack Software Developer Programmer Analyst (Information Technology)

JOB SUMMARY

PERA is seeking a full stack software developer to maintain, evolve and innovate our customer facing systems. This position will develop and support cutting edge, highly scalable and reliable enterprise applications using Java EE and front-end frameworks that meet/exceed our business needs. Our ideal candidate will perform day-to-day application program coding, testing, documentation and implementation activities as part of an application development team.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience with front-end frameworks (Angular, AngularJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, SASS, HTML5)
  • Knowledge or experience developing multi-tiered distributed Java EE applications
  • Knowledge or experience consuming and building RESTful Web Services
  • Understanding of UX design and concepts
  • Knowledge or experience with Responsive Web Design
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, lead simultaneous initiatives of varying complexities, and ensure the effective completion of projects
  • Experience in working and communicating effectively as a part of a team and balancing needs across stakeholders and technology teams
  • 2021 College graduates with degrees in the Computer Science/Software Engineering fields are encouraged to apply
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Develops system analysis and design documents based on user specifications
    • Interviews users, analyzes requirements and defines system design specifications
    • Designs applications and implements solutions to meet defined specifications and user needs
    • Participates in database and file design for systems
    • Creates, utilizes, and maintains programmer test environments to ensure system accuracy, effectiveness, and quality
    • Participates in detailed system testing and debugging to ensure overall software accuracy, effectiveness, and quality
    • Prepares documentation for new and existing systems
    • Participates in implementation, training and monitoring of user application programs
    • Performs system and application troubleshooting involving problem identification/determination and resolution
    • Communicates with vendors to define and resolve system issues and problems
    • May provide technical assistance, critical review, and advise team members of issues within assigned projects
    • Participates in training and educational opportunities for ongoing professional development
    • Maintains regular and prompt attendance in the workplace
    • Performs additional duties as assigned
      QUALIFICATIONS
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree; demonstrated progressive experience in software development, programming, and analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize applications from both a technical perspective and a business perspective
      • Understanding of software development and programming
      • Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
      • Knowledge of computer systems, relational database systems, development languages, software applications, networking, and support applications
      • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
        WORKING CONDITIONS
        • Standard office environment with constant computer use
        • Occasional travel as necessary for business purposes
          FLEXTIME SCHEDULE OPTION
          • Opportunity to work a flex 9/80 schedule (80 hours in a two week period worked over nine days with one day off every other week)
