Description : Job Description Summary Global Technology Services (GTS) delivers standards and promotes collaboration, facilitates a digital experience for employees and customers, and provides global infrastructure and application services Securing information at Aegon is managed through the Information Security function. This is accomplished: Through a comprehensive and layered set of capabilities (people, technology, and processes) Using risk based, efficient, and agile approaches Which are aligned to the business strategy and One AEGON Enabling all businesses to effectively control information security risks. A Senior Analyst in the Global Security Operations Centre will work in both a team environment and independently to analyze Information Security systems and threat intelligence to identify incidents and recommend mitigation strategies. This position will analyze information systems in order to detect and respond to potential threats in the environment. Additionally, they will act as the security subject matter expert to other technologists or business colleagues in advising secure configuration and best practice security for the organization Job Description Responsibilities: The role of a senior analyst in the global SOC will cover involvement in activities across the core skill sets of Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Incident response and mitigation, as well as adhoc consultancy and project support work, providing input to technology teams and business units as a security subject matter expert. Day-to-day activities will include (but not be limited to) the following: As a Tier III Senior analyst, as well as providing cover for incident response and acting as an escalation point for tier II analysts, you may specialize in one or more of the following areas within the SOC:

  • Performing threat hunting.
  • Focusing on Threat Intelligence - Composing security alert notifications and other communications.
  • Leading Intermediate and Tier II Senior Analysts responders in the steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidents A Tier III senior Analyst may have line management responsibilities for other analysts depending on their location. As a competent senior analyst you will:
    • Stay up to date with current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
    • Act as a point of escalation for security events and incidents when asked by Business units or technology stakeholders.
    • Possess strong analytical skills, which will allow advising on how best to respond to abnormal network/system behavior
    • Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Identify opportunities that can improve the efficiency of SOC processes across the environment.
    • Implement procedures to address new requirements
    • Where working as part of a shift team, the senior analyst may have people management responsibilities Qualifications:
      • Any of the following certifications are a plus: CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional or other ISC2. CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Security +. SANS
      • Knowledge of common security assessment frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, COBIT etc.
      • Experience of working in an enterprise SOC, either in house or as part of an MSP.
      • Financial Services experience.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English language).
      • Experience of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:
        • Experience of other security focused technology roles e.g. engineering, app dev, infrastructure support. Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Compensation: The Annual Salary for this position generally ranges between $95,500-- $127,050 - $157,500, with an expected starting salary of $101,640 - $139,755. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. Bonus Eligibility: This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 12.5%. Working Environment:
          • Normal office environment
          • This position is currently work from home due to COVID, long term this position could work from the office or continue as a work from home position.
          • Occasional international travel may be required at some point.
