Job Description:

SNC is currently seeking exceptional candidates who wish to be a part of the commercial space revolution. Our fun, fast-paced and collaborative team designs, builds, and flies the Dream Chaser Cargo System, an ambitious flagship program to create our Nation's only commercially reusable space plane. With your help, we will conduct many safe and successful missions over the next decade to deliver critical cargo to and from the International Space Station. These flights for NASA will enable us to build an unprecedented commercial space transportation network around the Dream Chaser, which provides affordable, cutting-edge orbital capability and return to Earth services onto runways around the globe. The future of space transportation is now.Responsible for the administration of assigned contracts. In coordination with Contracts Manager, supports negotiations for assigned programs in accordance with approved internal processes. Serves as the initial point of contact between the Company and the customer on business/contractual matters.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Secondary point of contact for the customer on all assigned contractual matters; primary point of contact for assigned spares/repairs programs
  • Individual contributor for team supporting the Dream Chaser program
  • Provides coordination with other departments as necessary in the preparation of responses to customer correspondence and other requests
  • Maintain close, professional interface with internal and external customer personnel (technical, administrative and business)
  • Assists in the review of RFP requirements for contract risk, discussing appropriate exceptions/fall-back positions accordingly with manager
  • In conjunction with Contracts Manager reviews all assigned bids, proposals and contracts, including changes, modifications and amendments thereto, prior to negotiation and execution to ensure that they are complete, responsive and correct in all aspects
  • Under the direction of the Contracts Manager, administers the development of risk mitigating terms and conditions and preparation of proposals and manages all proposal contractual activities for assigned programs
  • Assists in negotiations with the customer s representatives; provides information in accordance with established guidelines regarding the status of negotiations
  • Responsible for 'posting' all contract documents, data, deliverables, funding, etc. to the Teamroom; to include the development and updates to Contract-specific matrix
  • Ensures contract files are up-to-date and audit-ready with all contractual data, correspondence and status
  • Works with internal customers (program managers, program directors, etc. ) ensuring all communication with external customers is concise and consistent from both technical and contractual personnel
  • Administers the preparation and delivery of customer required data and reports in compliance with contractual requirements; monitor status of day-to-day deliverables and preparation of all contractual documents to include DD250s, DD-1149s
  • Ensures compliance with shipping schedules, design specifications, legal requirements and other contractual commitments
  • Monitors assigned contract(s) by maintaining a continuing survey of progress to verify compliance with shipping schedules, design specifications, legal requirements and other contractual commitments
  • Monitors, in conjunction with the Program Manager, performance against the original cost allocation and contract requirements in order to anticipate necessary changes in contract funding or scope of work
  • Ensures that all customer notifications as required by contract are submitted in compliance with contract terms
  • Assists Finance in billing preparation; accuracy of contractual requirements (i. e. , T&M contracts (rates and categories); cost-type contracts (cost and scheduled); milestone and CLIN liquidation)
  • Directly participates in tracking, reconciling, closing and reporting Unbilled status; lead in resolution of Invoice issues
  • Monitors Accounts Receivables on assigned contracts, ensuring prompt payment receipt
  • Initiates, in conjunction with the Program Manager, contract close-out process; initiates close-out process based on contract schedule and completion of deliverables
  • Monitors close-out process; ensuring contracts are closed expeditiously
  • Submits for review NDA, Teaming Agreements, etc. associated with assigned business area
  • Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, posting and routing for approval; and prompt execution of agreements - ensuring protection of SNC interests in all agreements
  • Additional responsibilities include tracking and statusing all agreements
  • Reviews and coordinates all requests for data to ensure protection of Company and customer interests
  • Provides status to Contract Manager for use in monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
  • Maintains awards log - responsible for accuracy of contract awards and validation of loading awards in CostPoint
  • Provides support to all Contracts Department personnel, in individual's areas of expertise
  • Develops and Maintains working knowledge of FAR, DFARS and all other customer specific procurement rules and regulations
  • Maintains close working relationship with Contracts Management staff, ensuring all tasks are performed within SNC stated guidelines and processes, as well as government guidelines (i. e. , FAR, DFARS, etc.)ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
    • Other duties as assigned COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

          • Requires a BA/BS in Related Field. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
          • 3+ Years experience
          • Previous Government Contracting Experience, Preferably in the Defense/Aerospace industry
          • Must have a strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
          • Working knowledge of export relations ( ITAR / EAR) desirable
          • Requires originality, creativity and initiative
          • Requires working with all levels of the company management
          • Capability to meet schedules and deadlines
          • Ability to interpret considerable data of a technical/programmatic nature in order to adequately perform duties and responsibilities
          • Ability to plan, organize, integrate, control, and measureIMPORTANT NOTICES:
