You bring your passion and drive, and we will Wow the World together!Position Summary The Ophthalmic Technician will work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis. Must be well organized and possess the ability to work in team-oriented environment, have excellent computer skills and communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff members. Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule; demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: · Visual acuity measurement · Refractometry (measurements for the glasses prescription) · Manual Tonometry · Manual Keratometry · Lensometry manual/auto · A-scan – manual/auto · IOL measurements · Measure pupil size and reactivity · Test and measure eye muscle function · Stereo testing · Potential acuity measurement · Brightness acuity test · Confrontation VF · Visual field testing · Corneal topography · Fundus Photos · Retinal nerve fiber layer measurement · Retinal thickness and tomography · Assist with contact lens fitting, and patient instruction · Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) · Two years of Ophthalmic Technician experience in an ophthalmology setting (or equivalent related ability) preferred · Ophthalmology/Medical knowledge · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Proficient in EMR and computer literacy · Well organized and attentive to detail · Create and provide a positive, accountable and inspired work environment · Proficiency in a second language highly desirable (Spanish preferred) Company DescriptionIcon EyeCare - Vision Correction Procedures with offices in Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Missouri coming soon!
