That's what makes us Roche. The Opportunity:As a Strategic Account Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the generation of sales for an assigned set of named accounts or territories. You will be assigned to large, complex, high visibility, strategic or tactically important competitive accounts. The position requires significant levels of sales proficiency as well as specific industry experience.Having a history of success in winning competitive business, you will use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry typically exist at this level. You will have specialized industry knowledge, as well as a record of success in sales, and be viewed as an expert in the field. You will have expert-level knowledge of company products and services and may be tasked with introducing new products. You will be able to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. You may have a leadership role, determine methods and procedures for new assignments, and coordinate the activities of other team members.This is a field-based role, the territory consists of multiple states in the West region. Two positions are available.Job Facts:

  • Focused exclusively on acquiring new customers through the identification of opportunities, creation, and execution of effective sales strategies, and the closure of sales through contractual commitments.
  • Leader on the team and role model for CRM discipline and strategic use. Manages and leads the development and implementation of Point of Care product strategies to attain assigned sales objectives for highly strategic accounts
  • Provides professional leadership in planning, organizing, and controlling balanced sales growth, continued account penetration, and customer satisfaction.
  • Navigates the financial landscape of complex health systems, helping them to maximize their capital budget cycles to achieve growth goals. Utilizes strong product/market knowledge and sales experience to manage complex sales and resolve customer questions and concerns.
  • Continuously builds knowledge of current industry trends, competitive information, and industry/technical knowledge and shares with other Roche colleagues.
  • Establishes and builds strong client relationships that allow for growth, profitability, and predictability. Communicates with other relevant Roche functions to ensure needed sales support and delivery of programs/products.
  • Overnight travel as needed, including short notice, to most effectively and efficiently cover territory while maximizing customer-facing time. 40-50% travel expectedWho you are:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 7+ years of relevant sales or equivalent experience required with the highest level of sales proficiency
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including making impactful presentations
    • Proven leadership abilities and ability to work in a regulated environment
    • Negotiation, contracting and problem-solving, strategic planning and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:
      • Experience includes consistently gaining new customers from the competitionRelocation benefits not available for this role.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Denver,CO is $96,300-178,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
