Job Description:

General duties:

Weld steel products
Translate design drawings
Weld per Manufacturing Orders
Ensure finished product meets quality standards
Complete required paperwork
Possible fork lift operation
Follows company PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements
Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Maintain a mindset of constant improvement

Skills:

Steel welding experience (GMAW)
Able to read blueprints
Understanding of weld symbols
Basic math skills
Use of basic measurement equipment, i.e., tape measure, calipers
Must pass PVM Steel's weld test (AWS D.1.1, 2-G)
Communicative
Friendly
Ability to work with others
Dependable
Organized
Time management skills
Ability to work under time restraints

Experience:

Must be at least 18 years old
2 years of steel welding warehouse experience
Tech school certification in lieu of experience
Prefer fork lift experience, but will train for fork lift certification

Education:

High school diploma, GED, or Tech school certification, or will accept experience in lieu of education

Certifications:

Employee must pass the company's forklift driver certification course, if required.

Overview:

Overtime may be required on a periodic basis for either 1st or 2nd shift. Second shift runs 4-days per week Mon-Thurs, 10 hour shifts.
Candidates will be required to complete a background check, drug screen, and reference check.
