Pipeline Designers to support pipeline and utility design, mapping, and database development using Plant3D. Working on projects for a variety of End clients, they will be going out and capturing data on existing gas plumbing and piping lines to work along with the civil team and find out the current configurations and build an extension to that layout in AutoCAD and Plant3D The work includes documenting features such as utilities, incorporating survey and property/right-of-way information, developing exhibits for communication and permitting, and preparing construction drawings. Our workflow generally involves accurately capturing and documenting site conditions utilizing a variety of technologies including land surveying, 3D color laser scanning, UAV drone photogrammetry, GIS mapping, and record drawings. It then progresses to the engineering and design phases utilizing 3D piping and modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Aveva, and CADWorx. Next is the client presentation and approval process involving the use of AutoCAD, Navisworks, ReCap, BloomCE, Revit, and Inventor to communicate the design intent. The final stages involve the development of construction and permitting drawings primarily utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation to develop plans, sections, details, and piping isometrics. Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates must have 1 - 5 years of pipeline design experience, direct experience and references with Upstream and/or Midstream Operating Companies. Inter personal skills, will be interacting with the client on a weekly basis. Strong in AutoCAD and Civil3D experience is preferred; photography manipulation and AEC object expertise. Bachelor Degree in engineering is desirable but not required, and successful performance and years of engineering study will apply to experience requirements.
