E ssential Functions and Objectives:
T o provide a representative/advocate for Denver Public Schools'
students in the juvenile justice system and a liaison upon their
return to school.
- Serves as a liaison between juvenile court, central
administration and schools; attends juvenile courts, as required
and supports various dockets related to juvenile court for Denver
Public Schools' students.; assists school
personnel in ensuring ordered supports are put in place to ensure
students have an optimal chance of educational success.
- Sets strong and measurable individual goals aligned to team and
department priorities; makes transactional decisions, seeks clarity
and direction to ensure decisions have desired impact.
- Demonstrates district shared core values; responds appropriately
to feedback and coaching and adapts to change appropriately.
- Promotes growth of others by showing knowledge and expertise;
manages conflict in a way that honors shared values and
perspectives of others.
- Contributes to meaningful conversations around equity and
barriers to success for all students.
- Other duties as assigned.
K nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- One (1) year of relevant experience.
- Licensed and certified in education or closely related field.
- Effective communication skills.
- Work collaboratively with others on a team.
- High degree of integrity in handling confidential
information.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment
with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students.
- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and fast-paced
environment.
- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
- Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel,
Google Suite, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills.

E ducation Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
