Terracare is currently looking for a Shop Supervisor to join our remarkable team. If that's you, apply for a position at one of the fastest growing outdoor maintenance companies in the country.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing and conducting the maintenance of commercial fleet and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • At least five years automotive and equipment maintenance experience
  • Two to four years supervisory experience
    License or Certification
    • Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
    • CDL License preferred

      • Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
      • Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
      • Ability communicate effectively in oral and written form
      • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

            ESSENTIAL DUTIES
            • Set repair schedules and priorities to meet preventative maintenance schedules and seasonal demands
            • Oversee daily work performed by shop mechanics to assure best utilization of labor and parts
            • Validate initial diagnosis of major repairs and assure ongoing training
            • Initiate and coordinate field repairs and asset recovery operations
            • Schedule personnel shifts for seasonal events
            • Assure accuracy of daily work orders and compliance with fleet management software to maintain valid reporting
            • Supervise, track, and report on daily fueling program
            • Safeguard parts, fuel, and assets to reduce shrinkage
            • Evaluate vehicles to be purchased
            • Participate in purchase and registration as needed
            • Assure efficient readiness of vehicles and equipment before released from shop
            • Review and monitor preventative maintenance program and recommend improvements to keep program current
            • Communicate with internal customers on a routine basis to ensure satisfaction with service and to develop proactive relationships
            • Monitor and react to work order trends to achieve goals
            • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and state law, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, reward/disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and terminations
            • Assist in repairs as needed
            • Track labor and submit timecards for processing
            • Other duties as assigned.

                Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.

                Pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
