Job Description:

This position plays a vital role in ensuring quality deliveries of our fiber services to customers. -

Perform prep and fusion of single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cables.Place and test jumpers in communication cabinets.Properly place mid-sheath splices.Test and troubleshoot fiber using an OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifier and scope.Perform installation and testing of fiber cross connects.Work flexible hours as needed and on-call rotation which may include nights and weekends.Work with Construction Project Managers and Fiber Design to perform splicing as directed.Train on bucket truck operations with supervision.Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic that can provide high productivity with minimal supervision.Other Duties as assigned.Education: -High School Diploma/GED -Experience:
  • Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Basic understanding of proper safety construction practices.
  • Proficient with construction equipment, hand tools, fusion splicer, OTDR, fiber identifiers and scope.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • 1 year(s) and 2 month(s) preferred in Splicing experience with the ability to properly place a mid-sheath splice.What we offer:
