Job Description:

American West Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the successful completion of construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As the first-line supervisor of the project, the Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, ensuring safety and quality while providing effective leadership to AWC's foremen, crews, and subcontractors.




The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant heavy civil experience as a supervisor, demonstrating a deep understanding of construction practices and the capabilities of heavy equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and proficient in using computers and project software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively schedule and manage the construction project
  
• Supervise and direct AWC's foremen, crews, and subcontractors
  
• Develop and provide weekly construction schedules
  
• Ensure a thorough understanding of plans and specifications
  
• Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of the construction process
  
• Ensure adherence to safe construction practices
  
• Lead and motivate the project team
  
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project management, crews, subcontractors, and owners
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing computer systems and relevant project software.

  • Strong knowledge of safe construction practices
    
  • Deep understanding of the capabilities of heavy equipment
