Description:Makers Line is a Multifaceted General Contractor
located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We specialize in many
styles of construction and is one of the largest in Multifamily and
Vertical building. Makers Line is a full-service general contractor
our projects include new construction, adaptive reuse,
multi-family, and beyond. We are looking for talented and driven
people to help build a team and create a culture while performing
at the highest level. As a Director of Construction, you be a
direct resource for our construction operations team. You will
provide the needed support to resolving issues, as well as
upholding the company standards and culture. You must have at least
15+years of Mid to Senior Level Construction Management. The
Project Executive is to provide executive oversight and leadership
to the assigned project teams and/or region. In addition, the
Project Executive is an Ambassador of Makes Line to our Clients.
Our clients need to know who they can call if there are any
questions or issues that need to be addressed above the project
team level. As the Project Executive you will provide daily project
specific guidance to the entire project team (PM's,
Superintendent's, and Project Engineer's). You are responsible for
assisting, training, and holding personnel/teams accountable for
all project deliverables including but not limited to:Project
finances - tracking, reporting, forecastingMonthly Pay Application
submission and payment trackingP&L forecasting for each project
under your stewardshipPrime Contract deliverables and risk
managementSubcontractor & PO issuance review - risk
managementProject schedule updates and milestone deliverablesSafety
programs follow through (including Tyfoom)Construction 101
education and Full Implementation (every project)Process Management
of Team's:As a Project Executive you have the daily responsibility
of ensuring your personnel/teams understand the processes they are
to utilize and follow in their respective rolls. This will require
training, on-boarding, team building and explanation to help those
you serve understand the reason and methods Makers Line employs.
This is best accomplished by doing the following:Ensure team
members are trained and using CMiC and they are proficient in its
useEnsure all process and documents are in place prior to project
start-upEnsure teams are trained to use proper scheduling processes
to update schedules weeklyEnsure ALL team members are filling out
ongoing Construction 101 documentationEnsure team members are
forecasting:Financial status - PayApp draws, Potential fee impacts,
buyout savings/losses, Actual cost vs budgetedLong-lead items -
Submittal dates required, Order dates, Delivery dates -
communication with owner of any impacts (weekly)Production
forecasting of subcontractor scopes (i.e.: masonry, steel, framing,
sheetrock, etc.) weekly to ensure compliance with manpower to
achieve scheduleProject Buyout commitments Ensure ALL team members
are aware of the proper process to conduct project close-out and
documentation.Required Meeting attendance:In order for the Project
Executive to really understand the events and status of the
projects their teams are managing it is strongly suggested that you
attend the following meetings on a regular basis:Project Hand-off's
from Estimating to OperationsOAC MeetingsWeekly Project Reviews -
Conduct and Report written form to BrighamPencil draw reviews with
team - MonthlyCompanywide training eventsSpecific project
eventsPersonnel & Team Awareness:As you manage the personnel and
team you have stewardship over you will want to be intimately aware
of:Project specific Owner/Client issues - relationship, tone of
meetings, outstanding payment, change orders, conflict
avoidance/resolution, schedule complianceCity issues - permit
status, inspection reports/compliance, 3rd party inspections,
substantial completion process, team relationships with
inspectorsSubcontractor issues: Schedule compliance, manpower
commitments, PCO status (ensure no work proceeds until executed
PCO), relationships with subcontractors, proper sequencingTeam
dynamics - relationship between personnel, proper delegation,
accountability within the team structure, attitude toward company,
satisfaction in career pathAs the Project Executive you will need
to submit a weekly emailed report to the Vice President outlining
the status of each project. This report should outline:P&L
forecastsSchedule milestones, completion dates, potential
delaysImportant issues with clients, personnel issues, and
financial issuesThis report can be derived from the weekly project
reviews you conduct and the other notable informative
