Full Time, Weekdays. 40 hours/week. $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

between $33.60 $50.39/hr, depending on years of relevant and like

supervisor over assigned laboratory activities and requires no
direct supervision of staff.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation or Formal
TrainingBachelor's DegreeCertified in Cytotechnology by a
certifying agency approved by HHSCopy of academic degree or
transcript required.Special Qualifications (Licensure,
Registration, etc.)Cytotechnologist certification
requiredKnowledge, Skill and AbilityDemonstrate judgmental
evaluations using accepted cytological criteriaConforms to
departmental policy and job requirementsAbility to work accurately

patient informationExperienceMinimum of three years of full-time
experience as a Cytotechnologist within the preceding 10
yearsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms the same
essential duties and responsibilities of a Cytotechnologist (see
position 4019).Performs microscopic examination and diagnosis of
benign conditions and abnormalities in cell samples from various
body sites.Is involved in quality assurance program and cytology
continuing education.Assists in maintaining departmental workflow,
turn-around time and compliance.Responsible for training and
maintaining annual competency assessments as well as biannual
reviews for Cytotechnologist(s).Demonstrates capability of
identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or
reporting of test results and must either be able to correct the
problems immediately or notify the Technical Supervisor.Is
responsible for ensuring that accurate records are maintained
(including statistics).Ensures compliance with all local, federal,
CLIA, CAP, and/or TJC regulations, including onsite visits and
documentation of compliance.Responsible for quality control and
quality assurance.Updates and maintains Cytology operating
procedure manuals.Maintains all Cytology lab
equipment.ACTIVITIESPhysical demands for the Cytotechnologist
include manual dexterity to successfully operate a standard light
microscope, visual acuity to accurately screen specimen slides, and
the ability to sit and concentrate for a duration of at least 2
