Steamboat Ski & Resort Housing department is looking for a Housing Resident Assistant for Storm Peak Apartments, formally the Fairfield Inn, and Ski Town Apartments, formerly the Hampton Inn. Through the winter season you will be the connection between our residents and the HR team. Ensuring that housing rules, policies and procedures are followed while also assisting with tenant issues and maintaining a safe and clean environment for everyone. As a member of the housing team the resident assistant will engage with tenants to promote a positive living experience while having the best playground of mountain terrain and champagne powder!! Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

  • Walk property on a daily basis, monitor and address the overall appearance of the property and parking lot including, picking up trash, securing dumpsters and working with tenants to maintain cleanliness of property.
  • Respond to tenant issues/concerns in a timely manner.
  • Handle lockouts and rekeying tenant keys when needed.
  • Perform unit inspections.
  • Assist with Resident Assistant functions at The Ponds at Steamboat.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Provide afterhours tenant check ins; follow up on tenant check outs, room inspections, etc. as needed.
  • Assist with unit inventories and moving items including furniture, appliances, household items, etc. Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:
    • Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC s Service Excellence standards.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with staff, applicants, tenants, and guests in a positive, enthusiastic and professional manner in a busy and sometimes stressful environment
    • Strong conflict resolution skills
    • Strong working knowledge of housing policies and procedures
    • Ability to adhere to all safety policies
    • Must maintain high levels of confidentiality
    • Must have the ability to manage tenant issues in a calm, positive, helpful manner at times in stressful and/or sensitive situations
    • Able to be on call holidays, evenings and weekends, in addition to regular on-call
    • Minimum one year experience in a customer service position Physical Requirements:
      • Must be at least 21 years of age
      • Must have the ability to communicate clearly in English-verbal and written
      • Must be able to walk and climb up and down stairs often in winter weather conditions
      • Must be able to live on premises in a hotel suite and be available for on call rotation at varying times of the day/night
      • Must be able to walk frequently around complex including walking upstairs, picking up trash, often in inclement weather and icy conditions
      • Must be able to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 lbs. unassisted including but not limited to boxes, furniture, appliances, and other household items
      • Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current Driver s license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is required. Miscellaneous information:
        • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
        • Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
        • Must be able to be on-call holidays, evenings, and weekends, in addition to regular on-call hours

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
