Job Description:
OverviewRocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and
most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting
opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant.We are adding a full-time Advanced Practice Practitioner
to round in multiple hospitals in the Lakewood area to perform
initial consultation vistis with new patients.The job role will
include performing pertinent patient examinations and clinical
evaluations, managing clinical care, ordering and reviewing
diagnostic studies, ordering and monitoring medications, and
participating in the short-term and long-term planning of patient
care along with the physician team.Salary
Range:$100,000-$125,000Pay is based on several factors including
but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assesses,
plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.- Initiates and
documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records
patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.-
Performs procedures and /mentors trains other providers- Assesses
patient/family needs and provides education.- Promotes wellness and
recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. -
Consistently incorporates evidence-based research into clinical
practice.- In-depth knowledge of reimbursement procedures and
documentation requirements. - Completes patient charge capture and
medical record documentation in a timely fashion.- Often provides
case management for patients and their families. - Often serves as
a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied
in clinical trials. - Provides palliative care for the patient and
their families as needed. - Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Nurse PractitionerMasters of
Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and
successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.This position
typically requires a minimum of two years of experience as a
practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen
specialty.RN state licensure and current registration with the
State Board of Nursing in practicing state.Current state licensure
as a Nurse Practitioner.AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support
(BLS)/CPR certification required.ORPhysician AssistantSuccessful
completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.Current
NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician
Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a
minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Physician
Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty.Current state license
as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.Current basic life
support (BLS)/CPR certification required.ORClinical Nurse
SpecialistMasters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited
nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse
Specialist program.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described
