Additional Day To Day Activities May Include
Research Scientists are responsible for supporting HEOR strategy
projects for assets across diverse therapeutic areas and
collaborating across a broad portfolio of HEOR projects, operating
in a team. The candidate will have a thorough understanding of
research methods used in HEOR studies, the product
commercialization and market access landscape, and the evidence
required at the different stages of product lifecycle. They will
have experience in conducting independent research, developing
research projects and project portfolios, and cultivating client
relationships. They will complete complex job responsibilities
independently. In addition, they will provide project management on
multiple projects.
Design search strategies, execute literature searches, synthesize
literature, and identify evidence gaps.
Outline arguments and key messages, and identify literature to
support the arguments and key messages.
Review and interpret economic models, retrospective database
analyses, and other health economic outcomes research studies.
Develop and deliver project materials including written reports and
client presentations
Assist in the development of health economics, health policy and/or
epidemiological research studies, including identifying and
selecting appropriate study design, sources of data, and
methodological approaches
Perform quantitative and qualitative research with modest
supervision and oversight; may assign others project tasks, oversee
execution, perform quality review, and lead in client
communications
Build and maintain effective client relationships and is seen as a
research partner by both internal and external colleagues
Under the direction or support of senior staff, manage project
budgets and timelines
Collaborate with others to build the business by identifying new
research opportunities, developing and/or consulting on proposals,
and presenting new opportunities to clients
Required
Qualifications:
Masters' degree
2-5 years' relevant research experience
Other Required
Proficiency in writing scientific or review papers
Expertise in the application of research methods and the experience
to utilize specific discipline knowledge in the execution of
research studies
Proficiency with business applications (Microsoft Office, Excel,
Outlook)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse
team
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Preferred
PhD
Degree concentration in economics, health services research,
epidemiology, biostatistics, public policy, health policy, or
public health or related
Experience in conducting literature reviews, systematic reviews,
scoping reviews, rapid reviews, or critical reviews
Understanding of medical terminology and/or any disease-specific
expertise
