Bottom Line / In a Nutshell:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Security or Cybersecurity from an accredited institution required
  • 8+ years experience in network security, databases, endpoint security, or other technical IT security related field
  • 5+ years experience with Information Security, Risk Management and Incident Response
  • CISSP certification required
  • Tools: VMware Carbon Black EDR, Trend Micro Deep Security (ideally these two but would consider alternatives)
  • Project Management experience a plus; looking for someone who is team-oriented, a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, strong communication skills and planning/organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux/UNIX systems, firewalls, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, access management, encryption, configuration management, vulnerability scanning, and application security best practices.

    What to Expect: As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our amazing downtown Denver office, you will provide senior administrative and technical support to the Chief Information Security Officer in developing, implementing, and executing the information security program. You will collaboratively assist in the development of technical information security policies, standards, procedures, and processes in support of the mission of the organization. Support day to day incident monitoring operations and management. Assist Operational Security in developing, monitoring, and enforcing practices to ensure that information is secure from unauthorized access and inappropriate alteration and also assess and recommend information security improvements.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Drive and execute Cyber Security Oversight and Incident Response: Provide technical leadership for network vulnerability identification, as well as threat and attack mitigation, intrusion detection and prevention, remediation plans and technical risk assessments.
    • Assist in the response to security events and escalations. Reports, records, and works with departments to resolve security related issues and incidents.
    • Identify Process Improvement for Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, vulnerability scanning, Security Incident Event Management (SIEM), log analysis, firewall rules, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs and/or other related functions as assigned.
    • Support security equipment to ensure proper operation including upgrades and installations.
    • Act as a senior resource as a SME for SOC, SIEM, and EDR/EPP.
    • Adhere to and improve procedures on incident response management and use of information security tools and information.
    • Execute on Cyber Security strategy and make recommendations where they are needed to align to strategy.
    • Conduct continuous technical assessments of various security subdomains such as cloud security, endpoint protection platforms security, network security and architecture.
    • Assist with the documentation of security operations procedures (SOPs), policies and standards for security domains.
    • Perform forensics investigations to identify cyber incidents in concert with the SOC and third security partners.About You:
      • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field in Information Management, Information Security or Cybersecurity from an accredited institution
      • Eight (8) years of cumulative experience in network security, databases, endpoint security, or other technical IT security related field.
      • Five (5) years of experience with Information Security or Risk Management.
      • Team-oriented self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Strong oral/written communications and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
      • A high degree of initiative, motivation problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.
      • Technical knowledge of operating systems, defense-in-depth concepts, networks, security related technologies, and security configurations.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux/UNIX systems, firewalls, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, access management, encryption, configuration management, vulnerability scanning, and application security best practices.
      • CISSP certification.
        Preferred Qualifications:
        • Master's degree preferred.
        • Certifications related to the duties and responsibilities specified, including but not limited to CNA, CCNA, CISA, CISSP, MCSE, SSCP, and SANS GIAC.
        • Direct working knowledge and experience with SIEMS. Working, practical experience, with most of the of the following: Palo Alto, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Microsoft System Center End Point Protection (SCEP), Anti-Malware Software, Microsoft System Center Configuration Management (SCCM), EDR, EPP, DNS LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory, Linux, Nessus vulnerability scanner, SMTP, SNMP, Perl, Python, Unix Shell, C#, PHP, or Java
