Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer III you will work within a small team to design and develop rugged reliable electronic equipment for use on spacecraft. Applications include motion control, power management, communications, and telemetry.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and foster innovative product design

  • Navigate problem solving for new electronic product designs and as well as existing products

  • Specification development, and requirements verification planning

  • Schematic development

  • Printed circuit board development

  • Coordinate with procurement on component alternates

  • Circuit analysis, including worst case analysis

  • Manufacturing and Test Readiness Review support

  • Product support through design, manufacturing, test and system integration

  • Work with Systems Engineering to ensure that the system level requirements are met through specification development and hardware development

 

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture

  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

  • Working knowledge of electronic design requirements including: Worst Case Analysis; Electrical Load Analysis; Parts Stress Analysis; Digital and Analog circuit design and simulation; Interface control drawings, functional block diagrams, and schematics; PCB design, layout, and fabrication documentation

 

Preferred:

  • Experience using the Altium Designer tools for PCBA development

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams

  • EE parts Selection for Space Flight Products

  • An understanding of electronics integrated into electro-mechanical systems

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry or Space

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $101,774.67 - $139,940.19
