Are you passionate about partnering with cross-functional
engineering teams and enterprise-wide tools? Well, we may have the
role for you! Our Next-Gen Access Networking team is looking for an
Engineer to assist with project planning around Comcast’s tiering
strategy, execution, and integration with capacity tools.
What You Will Do:
- Work daily with our division-partner engineering teams on
execution, strategy, and provide the senior leadership updates on a
- Keep abreast of the cable industry and NGAN (Next Generation
Access Network) technologies and architectures including but not
limited to Fiber Deep N+0, DOCSIS 3.X, Full Duplex DOCSIS, vCMTS,
Remote PHY, EPON, and FTTx.
- Assist in defining requirements for tools and identifying
opportunities for tool improvements.
- Travel up to three times a year or less to field systems.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
- Approximately 5-7 years of related Access Network field
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of work
- Experience reading cable maps and design documents.
- Experience with DOCSIS is required.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Regions, Divisions and
- Gather, present, and articulate project statuses in written,
verbal and PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience in enterprise tool requirements gathering and/or
process flows is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated initiative to initiate and build relationships
both internally and externally.
- Team player, with a consistent track record of taking
initiative and ownership of responsibilities and deliverables
