Job Summary

WWT Application Services division is looking for a Sr. Consulting Program Manager to join our growing Software Consulting Services group. The primary purpose of this role is to provide the proper level of program leadership and operational management for multiple Agile consulting engagements involving various software development technologies. The right individual brings extensive consulting leadership and software project management experience, thrives in a diverse, entrepreneurial environment, and is committed to helping build a great place to work.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Lead multiple client-facing software consulting projects at a program and/or project level in a high growth, entrepreneurial division that is a leader in Agile software development.

Be responsible for successful project delivery in the areas of Agile and SAFe Transformation, Application Performance, Application Rationalization and Cloud Migration, DevOps and AIOps, testing automation, and Agile PMO consulting engagements by managing all activities associated with the project objectives from start through completion. This will include project timelines, budget, forecasting, risk mitigation, issue resolution and communications.

Build strategic consulting relationships with client leadership and executives.

Financial responsibility and management of projects and programs, using WWT's enterprise project management systems.

Collaborate with account managers, practice leaders and sales engineers to identify business development opportunities and craft sales proposals through solution analysis, estimation, contract review, and staffing.

Act as a strategic member of the Consulting Program Management office, working to define and mature project management standards and business operational practices in an Agile consulting environment.

Lead the entrepreneurial bootstrapping of new consulting practices and service offerings.

  • Ability to lead teams effectively using remote teleconference tools.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of business operations and consulting.

  • Proven ability to mentor team members in the areas of business, consulting and project management.

  • Effective presentation skills including creation of associated documentation, creation of presentation files, and delivering the presentation.

  • Excellent understanding of project and consulting financial processes. Ability to create proformas, track project metrics, forecast future trends and manage change.

  • Top-notch written and verbal business communication skills, tailored and appropriately detailed for all levels of the organization. Verbal communication must be effortlessly understood in the American business environment.

  • Excellent leadership skills, including knowing when to lead and when to let others lead.

  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings and collaborative work sessions, using proven facilitation techniques.

  • A proven understanding of iterative development processes with the ability to influence translating those processes into action on a Project Team.

  • High degree of emotional intelligence, including personal and business integrity.

  • Working knowledge of the following tools (preferred):

  • Trello, Jira or other Kanban tools

  • Clarity

  • Tableau

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above.

Certifications

  • Project management and/or Agile certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, SaFE, CSC, etc.) preferred.

Work Experience

  • Extensive (8+ years) of technology project and program management experience.
  • 5+ years of software project, program or product management using Agile methodologies.
  • 5+ years of recent experience working as a consultant or leading consulting projects.
  • Extensive (10+ years) direct experience serving customer executives, stakeholders and technical teams.

Working conditions (if needed)

WWT and many of our clients are working remotely and business travel is restricted for the foreseeable future. To be effective in this role and in these conditions, you will need:

  • Dedicated space to work, that is presentable on video conference camera.
  • Reliable high-speed internet service that can support hosting video conferencing meetings and screen sharing.
  • WWT laptops and monitors will be provided.

WWT understands that co-located teams deliver superior results. Candidates in the St. Louis metro area will be expected to work the majority of time from our downtown St. Louis office, when not travelling on customer assignment.

WWT's office spaces are designed to enable Agile team collaboration in an open floor plan with portable furniture.

Travel requirements: Up to 50%.
