JOB SUMMARY----The Sr. Leadership Development Specialist helps attract, retain and develop top leadership talent through effective leadership development programs. The consistent application of deep subject matter expertise and best practices helps optimize the value of leadership development programs/services. The role helps develop training curriculum and materials, selects appropriate delivery mechanisms, delivers training, and monitors training effectiveness for front-line through senior level leaders. This may include planning, organizing, and developing training curricula, materials, and programs, analyzing training needs and developing programs to address them, evaluating third party training providers, and managing delivery of internal and externally-provided training programs. The role applies advanced knowledge in facilitation and leadership development to manage projects / processes by working independently with limited supervision, and may coach or review the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.--This position is expected to:--Focus all leadership development efforts on improving performance outcomes and business resultsAccount for how the larger environment impacts performanceView the organization as a systemAdd value to clients and stakeholders by achieving measurable resultsEstablish partnerships based on mutual goals, respect for each others' expertise, shared responsibilities, and openness to others' opinionsWork collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and partnersBe systematic in the assessment of a leadership development opportunity, analysis of the work and workplace to identify the cause or factors that limit performance, design of the solution or solution requirements, development of all or some of the solution and its elements, implementation of the solution, and evaluation of the process and the results ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS--The essential functions of this job position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and duties an employee encounters while performing this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job, in accordance with the ADA and applicable state/local law.--Present training programs, classes, and material across a wide range of topics with a high degree of competence and credibilityBuild the pipeline for leaders at all levels using a systematic development process; Align leadership development curricula with company strategy in order to build on the company vision, mission, values and everyday principlesEstablish partnerships with other professionals across DISH, middle and senior management, and business units to ensure business impacts of leadership development activities are defined and understood; Collaborate with internal and external partners on projects--Interface with business leaders, project managers, business analysts, developers, and users during all phases of needs assessment, development, training, and evaluation of impactExecute a leadership development strategy that aligns with the Center of Expertise Service Delivery Model that is currently being used in Human ResourcesPartner with others in Human Resources to align solutions with talent and performance management programsEnsure the cost-effective design, sharing, implementation, evaluation and continual improvement of Leadership Development solutions and best practices that meet identified needs and objectives; Measure and analyze effectiveness of Leadership Development interventions and identify opportunities for continuous improvementConsult with key leaders to address performance and leadership needs; Develop positive relationships with senior leaders to stay tuned in to current business needs, improve operational efficiencies, and provide professional Leadership Development consulting servicesPartner and work collaboratively with leadership to develop and execute leadership development plansAdd value to clients and stakeholders by achieving measurable resultsIdentify critical content areas for leadership development based on structured needs assessments. Example leadership development content areas include topics such as: Building organizational Trust to resolving Conflict, Improving Communication, Building high-performing Teams, Coaching, Performance Management, HR Policies and Practices, and Leading ChangeProvide leadership development solutions including coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, special projects, assessments and talent management; Take advantage of non-training-related development opportunitiesPartner with others to develop top-quality, coherent and concise curriculum, training materials, and lesson plans that support the training and development strategy and improve overall leadership capabilities, in collaboration with Instructional Designers / Developers; Manage training projects from needs assessment to impact and evaluationSchedule, assign, facilitate, and evaluate seminars, workshops (both in-person and online), and eLearning modules--#LI-RP1-- Compensation: $64,800.00/Yr. - $89,400.00/Yr.
