The engineer will employ highly technical security skills to build/deploy key infrastructure security tools, respond to escalated security alerts, provide enterprise risk assessment, vulnerability remediation, and provide a source of security consultation and expertise for the business.The engineer's role will be to create strategy, (re)build infrastructure and process, and certify SugarCRM's security stance.The security engineer will have, but is not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:Impact you will make in the role:Serves as a technical resource for enterprise securityExpert use of SIEM/Logging tools to provide risk assessments for enterpriseReview, build, tune rules & act as a liaison with 3rd party security vendorsAll manner of cloud-based security effortsReview escalated tickets and security eventsAssess and rank the risk to the enterpriseCreate and lead action plan to reduce riskReview & remediation of vulnerabilities, assessments, and penetration testsRisk ranking and scoringOversight of remediationCreate solutions and lead efforts to reduce riskReview of firewall and perimeter rule setsDatabase security and reviewSSL certification & encryption processes and reviewSecurity certification of new and existing production systemsProvide point of contact with compliance teams and initiativesProvide expertise in technical privacy aspectsProvide assistance in research of next generation security issues, 0-day attacks, and provide input on strategy for future security infrastructure and toolsWhat you will need to succeed:Education:BS degree in computing / information systems / MS preferred / 10+ years of information security experience and or network securitySome industry certifications, such as: Palo Alto, SANS, CISSP, MicrosoftSkills and Qualifications:Strong experience with all versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, LinuxStrong experience with AWS security & configurationStrong experience in next gen firewall technology, IDS/IPS technology, network & routingExperience with security and technology automation, including Kubernetes, Ansible, and other script based automationExperience with incident response, forensics and evidence preservationCan script in multiple languages / scripting languagesExperience in working in a global, multi-timezone environmentVulnerability and penetration testing experience and skillsExcellent writing skillsAbility to communicate technical security requirements to business units, create strategy, and implement security plansPay: $120,000 - 140,000, depending on experienceWe understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job.
