All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.KeyResponsibilitiesRapidly design, develop and test a highly reliable lander propulsion system Evaluate and develop propulsion architecture and requirements, ensuring manufacturability is a priority Drive component design and selection as well as system verification testing, troubleshooting and requirement(s) closure Collaborate with software, hardware, supply chain and integration teams Create and manage supplier procurement specifications and statements of workBasic Qualifications(Required Skills / Experience) BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 5+ years of experience in rocket propulsion design, development and testing Experience with spacecraft thruster design and test Experience with fluid dynamics and pressurized components (valves, regulators, tubes, pipes, etc.) Experience leading operation-critical mechanical design, including basic structures, fluids calculations, and design considerations Proven track record of leading design development from concept through fabrication, testing and integration Acumen with analysis tools for rocket propulsion or fluid-thermal applications Prior experience with developing, maintaining and improving welding processes Familiarity with project management tools, including AtlassianPreferred Qualifications(Desired Skills / Experience) Competences in spacecraft attitude control systems, pointing budgets, sensors or algorithms Competency in MATLAB/Simulink, ROCETS, TDK, SINDA/FLUINT, Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter CAD and PLM systems and/or similar Design-for-manufacturing experience Knowledgeable of space environmental tests Experience with common industry standards for spacecraft propulsion system design, test and integration; including, but not limited to, NASA-STD-5001, NASA-STD-5012, NASA-STD-5017, SMC-S-005 & SMC-S-016 AdditionalRequirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced design and development environmentSchedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility requiredWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as requiredWe kindly request that resumes are a maximum of two pages, thank you.Denver, Colorado /R&D /Full-timeSDL2017
