If you enjoy being outdoors, we have limited Customer Service
Associate positions available for the summer only! This job serves
as a cashier for both the Great Outdoors Waterpark and Waneka Lake
Boat House. Applicants must be enthusiastic and show strong
communication skills, as they are the face of our facilities!
Greetsand assists patrons at Great Outdoors Water Park and/or
Waneka Lake Boat House; accepts payment for entrance fees, pass
sales and reservations, etc.
- Responsible for collection of entry fees to the water
park/boathouse using a point-of-sale system, managing reservations,
handling cash, making change and balancing cash register.
- Assist managing waiting lines for the water features at the
Great Outdoor Water Park.
- Perform related work as required and assigned.
- Act as receptionist directing individuals to proper locations,
collecting fees, providing information, monitor slide area activity
and in general, assist the public.
- Assists guests on the dock entering and exiting boats at the
Waneka Lake Boat House.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, public areas.
- Read and follow directions.
KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of arithmetic and spelling, running a
cash register, making change.
SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment
necessary to perform the functions of the job in public
ABILITY: Work in a highly visible work environment; interact
with customers of varying ages; learn office procedures; deal
tactfully and pleasantly with the public; operate a cash register
and office equipment; handle money, make simple mathematical
calculations; prioritize multiple requests for service; maintain
positive public relations; function independently with minimal
supervision; work weekends and holidays.
EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING: No specific requirement.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in similar environment
preferred; previous work managing computer cash register and money
preferred, food handling or any equivalent combination of training
and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses
the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the
essential functions of the job.
May be restricted to age requirement as specified by FLSA:
Age 14 - 15 years limited to:
School in Session - 3 hours/day; 18 hours/week between 7:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m.
(06/01 thru Labor Day)
School not in Session - 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; no later
than 9:00 p.m.
