Poly has an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial contracts attorney to support the tremendous growth of public sector and e-commerce opportunities. The position will report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel for Sales and Services. The job requires interacting with personnel from sales, finance, operations, procurement, federal and GEMs (state and local government, education and medical divisions) and members of the legal team, advising at all levels of the organization both domestically and internationally. US-based eligible applicants are encouraged to apply although being in the Washington D.C., Denver, or Austin areas is preferred.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

* Support Poly's sales organization to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements for the sale of Poly products and solutions, with a focus on direct and indirect customers in the public sector, financial industry, and healthcare areas. * Provide legal support in connection with Poly's participation on GSA Schedule, Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), and other federal, state, and local government contracts. * Counsel internal stakeholders regarding applicable US Gov't contracting regulations and requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation System (FARS) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) . * Advise on applicable requirements in connection with federal, state, and local requests for proposals (RFPs) and grant funding. * In addition to public sector support, work on a wide variety of diverse contracts and commercial engagements including e-commerce, reseller program administration, and partner channel programs. * Be able to spot and identify key issues under US export control, anti-corruption, and fair competition laws. * Contribute to the development of business processes and policies to better enable achievement of Poly strategic objectives, mitigate risk, reduce inefficiencies, and improve effectiveness. * Provide training and develop programs to educate sales personnel regarding key legal and compliance issues, and accomplish business goals. * Work collaboratively as part of a global legal team.

What you bring to the team

* J.D. degree, and bar admission and in good standing in at least one state * 7+ years of experience counseling multinational companies and/or government agencies on all aspects of complex commercial contracts * Strong academic background * Prior management and in-house experience at technology company preferred * Ability to analyze complex information and think strategically to solve problems and assess and minimize risk * Ability to work and independently as a member of a flexible global team across multiple time zones * Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English.

The compensation range for this position is between $172,000 to $221,500 based on a full-time schedule. The salary could vary beyond this range based on your specific skills and experience. This is an incentive-based role.
